What is the difference between a 3-ring album and a postbound album?

A three-ring album is one that is a 3-ring style. The postbound books are put together with posts and screws. The postbound books have three posts and most sheet protectors will fit in them. They give an album a more professional look as there is no hardware showing when you open the album. The binding is one-piece and therefore will not accommodate extension posts. The 3-ring style is easy to load and unload pages.

What kind of sheet protectors are in the albums?

We use top loading C-line Sheet Protectors in our albums. They are a true 12X12, 8½ X 11 and 5½ X 8½ in size. Any sheet protector that you are currently using in your store should fit our albums. They are standard and we are not aware of any sheet protectors that won't fit, including those that are extra-long. These sheet protectors will fit in both the 3-ring and post bound albums.

How many pages come in each album?

Our albums are shipped with five page protectors that have a white cardstock piece of paper in them. If you order refills, they do not come with paper inserts.

What is the "custom album" option?

We will make a custom album from your favorite material. Many people like to use the material that fits the theme of their room. If you can't find what you want on the site, find something on your own and then send us your new and un-used material, and we will make your custom album for you for the same price. Sturdy material works best. Stretchy or lightweight are not recommended. You can send material for your lining, too (new and un-used), or we will find lining that matches. You can also send your own ribbon, or we will match it, too.

What if my ribbon is unraveling or my album gets dirty?

If your ribbons start unraveling, seal the ends with clear fingernail polish. If your album gets dirty, you can remove it and dry clean it. You can remove the covers by holding the front and back of the album together at the back and pulling both sides off at the same time. They are put back on in the same way. We very strongly recommend that the dry cleaner takes the cover off and puts it back on at the time the album is cleaned, to ensure they do not inadvertently shrink the cover.
